Sonic Debuts a New $1.99 Value Menu

Sonic’s $1 Groovy Fries special went away at the end of June, but with the flip of the calendar page, the chain is now adding different value to its offerings with what it’s calling the Fun.99 Menu. Fun rhymes with one, and the items on this menu each cost just $1.99
It’s different from the four-item, $5 value meals that other fast food restaurants, such as Burger King, McDonald’s, and Taco Bell, have dropped recently because sometimes diners want more flexibility than those meals offer.
Sonic’s new $1.99 menu offers a variety of entrées—including two new wraps—snacks, and shakes. The new menu is here to stay, although menu items are probably subject to change.
Sonic’s New Queso Wraps
Along with six new Flavorista Favorites, the creative and colorful beverages designed to beat summer’s heat, Sonic is launching two new queso wraps on July 1. And each wrap is on the $1.99 menu.
Bacon Ranch Queso Wrap: Crispy all-white meat tender, bacon, melty Cheddar cheese, ranch, and white queso, all wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla.
Southwest Crunch Queso Wrap: Crispy all-white meat tender, Southwest sauce, tortilla strips, melty Cheddar cheese, and white queso nestled inside a soft flour tortilla.
Sonic’s Quarter Pound Double Cheeseburger, Chili Cheese Coney Hot Dog, Small Tots, and any flavor of Sonic’s 16-ounce Shakes all join the new wraps on the $1.99 menu. (Paging Drew Barrymore and your love of Sonic’s tots and shakes, this value menu looks perfect for you!)
When Sonic App users order through the digital platform, they always get half-priced drinks and slushes. App users can also take advantage of half-price Classic Sonic Cheeseburgers on Tuesday nights and other exclusive rewards and offers.
While Sonic doesn’t have an official value meal, adding a half-price drink to two or three $1.99 items certainly gives DIY value meal vibes.
