Solange to release new album this Friday
Solange is to release a new album this Friday reports Pitchfork, entitled "A Seat at the Table".
The new material from the singer will feature Lil Wayne, Dev Hynes, Sampha, Moses Sumney, Q-Tip, Kelly Rowland, The-Dream, BJ the Chicago Kid, Kelela, and Sean Nicholas Savage, amongst others.
Talking about the album in a statement , Solange described it as "a project on identity, empowerment, independence, grief and healing."
The announcement comes after Solange invited 86 fans to sign up with their postal addresses on her recently-revamped to receive books of arts and lyrics, also called "A Seat at the Table". The book has also been released online.
"A Seat at the Table" will be released Friday, September 30 via Saint Records/Columbia.
