SNH48 Shen Xiaoai claims fellow member cheated on her

9 May - Netizens are scratching their heads over the love triangle conflict concerning members of two Chinese girl groups.

The issue started after SNH48's member Shen Xiaoai took to social media to reveal that she has been dating someone for two years, which netizens then speculated to be her group member Lu Xinyi based on her use of the word "best partner".

"Best partner" in this case refers to the competition where two members of SNH48 are partnered up to perform a duet. In the post, Xiaoai stated that she wouldn't partner up with Xinyi again, not only because she will be graduating soon, but also as they kept having arguments while working as partners.

However, Xinyi reportedly started cheating on her with her new partner, GNZ48's Wang Yuchen.

"For the past month, you used the excuse of getting to know your partner better for work in order to talk to your partner from morning until bed time every day. You two even played games after I've gone to bed and wore couple bracelets without telling me," she posted.

She also said that Xinyi refused to address their relationship whenever asked by Yuchen, and gaslighted her instead. She also shared several other instances of Xinyi doing shady things behind her back.

Xinyi had since denied the allegations, saying that she and Yuchen are just friends and that they become close for work's sake. However, Xiaoai has refused to accept, stating that she has more proof that the two are having an affair.

Meanwhile, SNH48's management has made no comment regarding the love triangle, nor the same-sex relationship happening within the group.
