SM Entertainment says Lucas parts ways with NCT, WayV
12 May – SM Entertainment has recently confirmed that Lucas is now no longer a member of NCT and WayV.
On 10 May, the agency posted the announcement via social media, which read, "After our deliberate discussion with LUCAS, we made a mutual decision [for him] to part ways with the group NCT and WayV to pursue his individual endeavours. We ask for your understanding and continuous support as this was a decision taken after much consideration of both the members and all the fans who have supported."
The company stated that Lucas is planning to showcase his talents through "a wide variety of individual works".
Lucas also took to Instagram to share his thoughts about his departure, writing, "I sincerely feel sorry for the members, and it is with a heavy heart that I leave behind a long-standing friendship. It has been nearly eight years since I got to know them, and I am deeply grateful that they took care of me all the time. I will cherish these memories and never forget it."
It is noted that Lucas had been on hiatus since August 2021 after his ex-girlfriends accused him of cheating and gaslighting them, and manipulating them to splurge for him.
