The Six Senses Residences Loire Valley at Les Bordes Estate in France Has Launched Sales

Les Bordes, a 1,400-acre privately owned estate in France, is about to get even more impressive than it already is. The luxury property has launched the first phase of sales of its highly anticipated branded residences, Six Senses Loire Valley, which will begin construction next year. Slated for completion in 2026, the development has put 12 out of 52 total villas on the market, priced from €2.5 million to €8.8 million (roughly $2.8 million to about $9.6 million).

The villas range from three to seven bedrooms and measure between 2,360 square feet and 7,125 square feet. In terms of aesthetics, the design is an ode to the surrounding Sologne forest but with a modern spin. Think lots of rustic wooden beams, locally sourced stone, and cozy chimneys. Every residence features a pool, and homeowners can treat their homes like a hotel suite since they will have access to the estate’s many five-star perks, including concierge services, private chefs, and daily housekeeping.

Each of Six Senses Loire Valley’s 52 planned villas will feature a private pool.

In addition to the forthcoming residences, Les Bordes is already home to a community of single-family homes known as Cour du Baron, a collection of 89 residences constructed by architecture firm Michaelis Boyd that launched sales in August 2022. Plus, the development is planning on welcoming a five-star Six Senses Loire Valley hotel in 2026. Altogether, the resort will sport 50 rooms, three restaurants, and an 18,000-square-foot spa equipped with indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, and a yoga studio.

“Six Senses perfectly complements Les Bordes with its blend of unassuming luxury and wellness-centric services. Our collaboration to create these exquisite branded residences marks a momentous leap forward, where homeowners have access to the amenities and privileges of the resort while enjoying the intimacy, space, and personal touches of a private fully-serviced home on a vast estate,” Driss Benkirane, founder and managing partner of RoundShield, the European private equity firm which owns the Estate, said in a press statement. “Les Bordes’s team looks forward to connecting with prospective owners and presenting them with the dynamic vision for this exclusive residential experience.”

The design of the homes will pay homage to the Loire Valley aesthetic.

The estate, which sits 90 minutes south of Paris in the middle of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also home to the renowned Les Bordes Golf Club. Comprising an 18-hole Gil Hanse-designed New Course and a Robert von Hagge-designed Old Course, it’s one of the most prestigious private golf clubs in the world. Naturally, residents will have the opportunity to apply for membership, which grants access to the central clubhouse and the two championship courses. Homeowners can also play on the three-par Wild Piglet course, which doesn’t require a membership.

“Les Bordes Estate is the perfect setting for a richly authentic Six Senses residential and hospitality concept,” added Neil Jacobs, CEO of Six Senses. “Homeowners will enjoy an uncompromising lifestyle centered on access to nature, emotional hospitality, privacy, and comfort—all within an iconic French countryside estate.”
