Siti Sarah passed away following battle with COVID-19
9 Aug – After several days battling COVID-19, singer Siti Sarah Raissuddin was revealed to have passed away.
The devastating news was revealed by husband, comedian Shuib, who posted on his Instagram this morning, "5:15 in the morning, 9 August. My angel of heaven has gone forever. Do recite Al-Fatihah for her."
Prior to the news, Shuib revealed online that Sarah was in dire situation, with her oxygen level decreasing to 40 percent.
It prompted the comedian to hold a Yasin recitation ceremony online, attended by family, friends and nearly a thousand fans.
Even 48 hours before that, Sarah, who was seven-months pregnant with her fourth child, had to undergo C-section while unconscious in order to save her baby, whom Sarah herself had named Ayash Affan.
The singer was taken to the Hospital Cancelor Tuanku Muhriz, UKM on 4 August following a decrease in her oxygen levels, a week after revealing that she and the whole family were diagnosed with COVID-19.
Aside from baby Ayash Affan, Sarah and Shuib have three children together, Uwais Alqarni, 10, Dzahira Talita Zahra, 8, and Arid Matin, 6.
She was 36.
