Siti Nurhaliza signs niece Umai under her management banner
22 Jan - Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza has recently signed the first artiste under her banner, SN Legacy Sdn Bhd, and that lucky person was revealed to be her own niece, Ummi Umairah aka Umai.
The 14-yer-old, who won gold medal at the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Los Angeles last July, will now be managed under Siti's company, which will also give her guidance in her professional music career.
"I hope Umai will continue to learn so that she can be an even more successful artiste. Maybe better than I was, one day. I see her as the one to carry out the legacy in our family," said Siti.
Umai, the daughter of Siti's younger sister Siti Sairah, will be managed by SN Legacy for five years, with her contract being activated recently on 1 January.
Said the young singer, "I am thankful to be given the chance to be under SN Legacy. This is a beautiful moment for me. I will use this chance to be an even better artiste."
