Siti Nurhaliza: You shouldn't be embarrassed to say sorry

7 Mar - National songstress or no, Siti Nurhaliza is not at all above apologising to the public if she makes a mistake.

That's what the legendary singer said in a recent interview following her previous apology statement that she shared online for promoting a nicotine patch product to her fans.

It is noted that the apology came after she was reprimanded by many parties including the Public Health Malaysia group, who said that the product can affect society at large.

"If I made a mistake, I would say sorry. That's more appropriate. No need to feel embarrassed to do so," she said, when asked about it.

Siti stated that she posted the promotion herself, and not any member of her team, and thus, it was her responsibility to make the apology.

It was last month that the singer removed the said post about the nicotine product from her Instagram account, and replaced it with an apology that read, "I apologise for my mistake regarding the product I had put up on my Instagram feed. I realise this was my mistake for not researching and not fully understanding the product involved."
