Siti Nordiana proceeds with defamation suit against five individuals
29 Jul – Siti Nordiana recently declared that she has proceeded with her defamation suit against five individuals over their previous allegations against her.
The singer, who spoke to the media about the issue, stated that she has already demanded for an apology from the said individuals within 48 hours, but received none from any of them.
"Since there had been no apology after the given time, I ordered for my lawyer to proceed with the lawsuit. I made the decision in order to clear up my name and image that have been tainted by the statement made directly or indirectly through the previous Instagram Live," she said.
Back in July, five individuals that include singers Lan Solo and Syura Badron, went on Instagram Live where they expressed their frustrations against the singer, known to many by the nickname Nana.
Among others, Syura alleged that several productions refused to offer her jobs due to the said singer, while Lan's wife Sheila Razlan expressed that she was saddened that her husband was accused of riding on Nana's popularity.
On the other hand, Syura recently posted a cryptic message on IG Story that read, "You know my name but not my story... You've heard and saw what I've done not what I've been through... if you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step... So please stop judging."
