Sisley Choi sees Dicky Cheung as an acting mentor

23 Dec – Sisley Choi recently admitted that when it comes to balancing her personal life and career, she has learned a lot about separating the two sides from working with Dicky Cheung back in 2018.

In an interview with Mingpao recently, Sisley, who was asked about the fact that she was dating dance choreographer Shing Mak when she was filming "Legal Mavericks" and back to being single as the sequel came out recently, stated that there is no difference to her mindset while she was filming the two dramas because of her relationship status.

"There is no difference between being in a relationship or not when you're acting. You will still give your full attention to the whole process while you're making a drama," she said.

Sisley stated that she learned to separate the two parts of her life after observing co-star Dicky Cheung while they were filming, "The Learning Curve of a Warlord".

"When we were filming the drama, he would only focus on the series and his character. When other actors gathered to eat, he chose to sit alone in the back alley and light up the mosquito coil to study the script. I think it is worth learning. It's no wonder that every role he plays becomes a big hit," she said.

Sisley also stated that Dicky was very generous in sharing tips and tricks with his co-stars, even when it does not concern his own acting project.

"I never thought that he would respond to my question, but he sent a long text message to me with a detailed analysis. He is really good. The enthusiasm for acting has not diminished after so many years. I hope I can follow his example though it won't be easy," she said.
