Sisley Choi doesn't put high hopes on winning at HKFA

2 Apr - Although she is one of the nominees of the Hong Kong Film Awards, TVB actress Sisley Choi says that she will not put high hopes on winning one this time around.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the actress, who will be competing for the HKFA Best New Performer award through her role in Nick Cheung's "Keeper of Darkness", stated that she has never thought about winning an award this early in her career as an actress.

Indeed, since it has only been two years since she won first runner-up at the Miss Hong Kong pageant, and made her TVB debut through the drama, "Overachievers".

"When I was competing in the pageant, I just went with the flow. I am already happy just to be nominated. I won't have high hopes," said Sisley.

One of her strongest competitions comes in the likes of rookie star Jessie Li, who has already won Best New Performer and Best Actress for her role in "Port of Call" in various award events both in Hong Kong and internationally.

These include the 19th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, and the Hong Kong Film Directors' Guild Awards.
