Singapore socialite Kim Lim says yes to mysterious boyfriend’s marriage proposal
Kim Lim revealed through her Instagram on Thursday (30 September) that she is now engaged, although her fiancé’s identity remains a mystery to the public.
Along with photos of Kim with her fiancé in a blissfully white setting filled with balloons and roses, she wrote excitedly, “After one big big round (years), [I’ve] finally opened my eyes big big. Yes to you a thousand times over and over again!”
This will be her second marriage, after divorcing her former husband Kho Bin Kai last year. They were married for three years and have a four-year-old son.
The joyous news drew many congratulatory messages from Kim’s fans and friends, including food writer Ladyironchef and actresses Hayley Woo and Felicia Chin.
In a subsequent Instagram post, Kim disclosed that she was "tricked” by friends into believing she “was fitting for a shoot”. It seems she was not suspicious of the marriage proposal plan brewing in the background, as she claimed the revelation came to her as “super funny” and “drama”.
Kim also uploaded a series of Instagram stories on the surprise marriage proposal, and flaunted her huge diamond ring that costs as much as an “HDB flat”.
Kim, who's the daughter of Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim, is an entrepreneur in the beauty industry, and is devoted to doing charity work, including volunteering and community involvement events.
