You may be able to run with Chewbacca!

6 Apr – The 4th of May has always been a special day for many "Star Wars" fans all over the world, but this year, Singapore's Star Wars community is taking a step further by introducing their first ever "Star Wars" themed run, which will be a part of a three-day festival called May the 4th Be With You Festival.

May the Force be with you at the festival!

Spearheaded by Esprimo and the Singapore Tourism Board, the three-day extravaganza is held in conjunction with the 40th anniversary of "Star Wars: A New Hope", set to take place at the Supertree Grove, Gardens by the Bay, from 4 to 6 May 2017.

Get ready to be transported to the realm of a faraway galaxy as the Supertrees at the Gardens by the Bay will be lit up to glow like the iconic lightsabers, transforming into "Sabertrees".

Then at 7.45pm to 8.45pm, there will be a special "Star Wars" edition of the Garden Rhapsody light show at the Supertrees, with John William's epic "Star Wars" soundtrack playing in the background.

On 5 and 6 May, fans can join in the "Star Wars" themed Silent Disco from 9 to 11pm at Supertree Grove, but the main highlight of the event in none other than the inaugural Star Wars Run on 6 May, where runners can choose to either be on the Light or Dark side, between 4.5km and 10km runs.
