Simon Yam refrains from doing action scenes

20 Jan – Although he has started working again, Simon Yam recently revealed that he still cannot perform any action scenes due to the injuries he sustained from the stabbing incident.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who made an appearance at a charity concert recently, shared that he has been diligently undergoing his physical therapy since the incident and would even continue using the necessary equipment at home to help speed up his recovery.

As for his next project, the actor enthused, "After the Lunar New Year, I will be filming my new movie, which will be shot in Hong Kong, Macau, and Malaysia. The whole production will take around four months."

Simon stated that he will avoid doing action scenes in movies for now, adding that he couldn't even join his daughter Ella skiing when they went on a ski trip earlier.

"But I can now run, swim and play football. I will continue to exercise to stay in shape," he said.

Back in July last year, the actor made headlines after being stabbed with a knife by a fan during a public appearance in Zhongshan, resulting in injuries to his fingers and abdomen.

The perpetrator was later revealed to be suffering from schizophrenia, and the actor decided not to file a case against him.
