Shuib's former brother-in-law defend comedian over new marriage
28 Jun – Fed-up by the narrative created by netizens regarding his former brother-in-law, Ahmad Firdous Raissuddin recently took to social media to express his support for comedian-turned-radio personality, Shuib.
The older brother of late singer Siti Sarah took to TikTok to address the issue, after netizens continue to slam Shuib for tying the knot with Watie Hanifiah, two years after Sarah passed away from complications related to COVID-19.
One even claimed that Shuib will not "meet Sarah" in the Hereafter, since he is now remarried.
"I am here just to update this issue, because people have been talking nonsense. Next time, if you know nothing about religion, we should refer to the knowledgeable first," said Firdous, who then shared a voice clip of the Islamic preacher Ustaz Azhar Idrus, in which he spoke about one reuniting with one's wife in the Hereafter if the latter passed away first.
On Friday, Shuib married businesswoman Watie Hanifiah in an event held at the Putra Glass Hall, Shah Alam. Sarah's parents were also seen at the event, giving Shuib their support.
The newly wedded couple are currently having their honeymoon in Langkawi, and will proceed to travel to Turkiye next with all of his children from his marriage with Sarah.
