Shuib Sepahtu returns to showbiz via radio
29 Aug – Shuib is elated to return to the limelight, or at least the light in Suria FM's studio.
The comedian, who was announced as the new presenter for the radio station's "Morning Morning Suria" segment, stated that it has been a while as he took a year-long hiatus following his wife's passing in August last year.
"Now is time for me to find ways to 'wake up' again," he shared with mStar.
Shuib admitted that he actually had declined several acting and television projects for the past year, and only decided to make his comeback via radio first.
"God willing, if there is other good opportunity for me next, I will accept it. I want to push myself again," he said.
Shuib is joining co-hosts Ajak and Suraya Borhan in the segment, which will air on weekdays; Monday to Friday.
Prior to Suria, Shuib was a presenter for rival station Hot FM, but decided to resign back in 2021 to focus on his business and children. The comedian had been away from showbiz for a while now, following the passing of wife and singer Siti Sarah in August last year.
