Shino Lin is remorseful
2 Dec – Taiwanese singer, Shino Lin was emotional while revealing the true story behind the controversies that has been surrounding her lately.
According to Asianpopnews website, the singer, who suffered public hostility after involving in a several incidence due to alcohol, revealed that she has had carried a burden of debt amounting to millions of dollars, losing her boyfriend and was in financial ruins after her drunken mishaps caused her songs to be halted from sales and broadcasts.
The singer, who is currently recording her new album, told the media that she has been depending on friends' encouragement at the time being to keep on living, saying, "I am not expecting others to see me in a different light. I am not a good person, neither am I a bad person. I will work hard to be a better person".
Asked if she would quit drinking, Shino replied, "I admit that I am weak. I can't say that I have quit and I will stop drinking, but I promised that I will not be featured in the news for alcohol problem ever again."
Since 2007, Shino Lin has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. In June 2007, the singer caused the death of a female nurse after hitting her while driving under the influence. The woman's family refused to accept her apology, calling Shino a murderer.
In June 2012, Shino caused a different sort of problem when she was accused of mistreating a dog. The singer accidentally caused a Taiwanese pub owner's French bulldog to vomit blood when she pressed its nose to calm it down, causing fluid to accumulate in the puppy's lung. Despite her attempt to defend herself, the pub owner refused to accept her apology and claimed that the singer was drunk during the incident.
Responding to mistreatment on the puppy, Shino denied that she was drunk at that time. The singer explained that she was using the method taught by a dog trainer to stop the puppy from nipping on humans, unaware that such method was inappropriate on short-snouted dogs like French bulldog.
