Shinji Takeda breaks right heel while filming variety show
26 Aug – Shinji Takeda recently broke his right heel while filming the Fuji TV variety show, "Atarashii Kagi".
As reported on Hochi News, the actor, most known for "Tokyo Eyes" and "Kyo Kara Hitman", recently appeared as a guest on the variety show, where he had to climb a two-meter-high mountain shaped float in a pool and jump into the water.
However, Shinji made a blunder during his jump, and hit the bottom of the pool with his right heel.
Following a hospital visit, the actor was revealed to have a right calcaneus fracture, and that he will need two to three months to recover.
In a statement released following the accident, Fuji TV expressed, "We sincerely apologise to Shinji Takeda and everyone involved. We will sincerely respond to future treatments."
"We take seriously the situation in which the performers were injured during filming, and we will take all possible measures to ensure the safety management of programme production in the future."
