Shila Amzah reluctant about returning to China

7 Aug – Shila Amzah recently admitted that she is reluctant on having a long-distance relationship with newly-wedded husband Ubai, though she is open to do so.

The singer, who has been deliberating whether to resume her career in China that was interrupted due to COVID-19 earlier, stated that having Ubai follow her abroad would be unfair for the social media influencer, seeing that Ubai's career is still developing.

"I want him to develop his career here because he is still young. I want him to find what's best for him, develop his career and succeed," she said.

Meanwhile, Ubai told mStar that he has no qualms letting Shila return to China to expand her career, adding, "Whatever makes her happy, she should continue. She herself never hindered my career."

The two tied the knot on 5 August in a ceremony held at The Boathouse Ampang. The officiant of the wedding was Shila's father himself, Amir Amzah Salleh, also known as ND Lala.

This would be Shila's second marriage and Ubai's first.
