Shera Aiyob undergoes surgery for ruptured cyst

20 Mar - Shera Aiyob recently revealed that she has just undergone surgery to remove a cyst in her stomach.

The actress, who shared the news with a photo of her in a hospital bed via Instagram, stated that she had to be warded on 12 March after experiencing a severe stomachache in the wee morning that caused her to experience breathlessness.

"I arrived at the emergency at 3.30am and the doctor said that there is a possibility that the cyst has ruptured... At 11pm, I was given the anaesthetics and was operated on. I was woken up at 1.30am and told that the surgery was completed," she wrote.

Said Shera, she found out about the cyst back in November, though it was still too small that she opted to take medication to shrink it instead. However, back in February, she was told that the cyst has grown to 8cm, and was advised by the doctor to undergo surgery for it.
