Shake Shack Just Brought Back a Fan Favorite for a Limited Time
It doesn't get much better than this classic holiday flavor.

Remember when all the fast-food chains were announcing their holiday menus in November? Early in the month, Starbucks told us it was bringing back most of its holiday beverages. We knew by mid-November that Krispy Kreme would offer “Elf”-themed doughnuts in December. And Dunkin’ teased us with its holiday items, including a Toasted White Chocolate Signature Latte, on the first day of last month.
If you thought there would be no more holiday fast-food news now that it’s mid-December, you'll be pleasantly surprised to hear this news. Shake Shack just announced a returning holiday treat to pair with its famous burgers (our taste test of six fast-food burgers found the ShackBurger to be the best of the bunch). That treat is a shake made with one of this season’s favorite flavors: sugar cookie.
Shake Shack’s Christmas Cookie Shake Is Back
The return of the fan-favorite Christmas Cookie Shake is a last-minute gift for its customers, Shake Shack told its fans via Instagram. Made with sugar cookie frozen custard and topped with whipped cream and gold sprinkles, it’s a holiday classic, available at the chain for a limited time at all U.S. locations except for stadiums and airports.
Just 10 days out from the holiday, it seems like a last-minute surprise, but a very welcome one.
“Make it a year round flavor pls,” one Instagrammer asked. Another summed up their excitement succinctly: “YAYAYAYAY!!!
“I was waiting for this. Trolls shakes aren’t the same as Christmas cookie. Tysm!” another excited fan said.
Other Special Shakes Are Sticking Around
Last month, Shake Shack introduced three shakes inspired by the “Trolls Band Together” movie. The restaurant recently confirmed in a separate Instagram post that those shakes are still on the menu.
When asked how long it will have the Trolls shakes, Shake Shack replied, “No set date, but this trio’s moving fast! We hope to have these around through the new year, but don’t miss out.”
There’s no set date to discontinue the Christmas Cookie Shakes, either, but if you don’t want to miss out on what sounds like a delicious shake to both sip and dip your fries in, head to Shake Shack soon.
