Sen. Imee Marcos: There will be "Maid in Malacañang 2"
9 Nov – Following the success of the controversial film "Maid in Malacañang", Senator Imee Marcos shared that there will be movie number two.
As reported on ABS-CBN, the senator, who spoke to the Filipino community in The Netherlands recently, shared that director Darryl Yap is currently writing the sequel.
"We waited more than 30 years to tell our story," she added.
The 2022 controversial film revolves around the Marcos family and their last 72 hours in Malacañang Palace prior to their departure amid the People Power revolution.
The movie stars father and son duo Cesar Montano and Diego Loyzaga as the late President Ferdinand Marcos and Bongbong Marcos, with Ruffa Gutierrez playing First Lady Imelda Marcos.
Cristine Reyes, on the other hand, played Imee Marcos in the movie, while Ella Cruz is the young Irene Araneta.
