Selena Lee to star in remake of "Tape"

15 Aug – Selena Lee is elated to be cast in the upcoming Asian remake of Richard Linklater's 2001 movie, "Tape".

Sharing the good news on social media, the actress wrote, "Preparing for the project for the past few months... also fortunate enough to be involved in the screenwriting and production. Looking forward to a new spark with a new partner."

"Excited to be part of the Hong Kong remake of Hollywood Film #Tape originally starring Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, and Robert Sean Leonard, and directed by Richard Linklater," she added.

The original movie starred Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, and Robert Sean Leonard about three friends reuniting and replaying old trauma, was written by Stephen Belber based on his play of the same name.

While Selena will play Thurman's character, her two male co-stars would be Kenny Kwan and Adam Pak. On the other hand, Mason Fung, Summer Chan and Angus Yeung play their younger selves.

The upcoming movie will begin shooting in September.
