See Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel Win Halloween With This Adorable Photo
It's the crossover that no one saw coming! Dr. Strange meets a Renaissance princess and they fall head over heels for each other. Now, that's a story you won't find in your fairytale book, but Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel just make it work.
Before Halloween, the New Girl actress teased a few costume ideas with an Instagram video where she referenced her past characters like Jess from New Girl and Summer from 500 Days of Summer. But, she jokingly threw in a photo of American Idol judge Katy Perry and y'all—the resemblance is uncanny!
Now the actress debuted her official couples costume with her BF in an IG photo jokingly captioned, "Dr. Strange and a princess walk into a haunted house… what could go wrong? 🤔"
The Celebrity IOU host gave Benedict Cumberbatch a run for his money in a head-to-toe get up identical to the Marvel Universe hero Dr. Strange while Zooey donned her most regal look as a fairytale princess in a floor length red dress and flower crown. Whether or not they discussed their costumes prior to trick-or-treating is still up in the air, but at least they managed to match their reds.
Fans of the duo immediately threw a slew of jokes in the comment section, including reminiscing on the actress' 2011 film Your Highness:
"Plot twist: He starts renovating the house"
"Seriously you guys should ALWAYS dress that way"
"Did you keep your outfit from Your Highness?!?!"
Even Jonathan slid into Zooey's messages by sweetly commenting, "Oh! I’ve heard this one before…they live happily ever after? 😉❤️."
On the other hand, New Girl fans had a field day when they saw the couple's photo and continued to reference this hilariously chaotic scene where Nick punched Jess in the face!
So when, Zooey asked "what could go wrong?" people immediately predicted a similar scenario by writing, "he accidentally punches you in the face!" and "Can’t be worse than that time you were a zombie in a haunted house and ended punched in the face and dumped in the same night 🤣😜."
We think it's safe to say that Dr. Strange Jonathan would always be there to defend his fairytale princess!
