Gwen Stefani has transformed the contents of her whimsical imagination into an actual cartoon. Last month, Nickelodeon announced its collaboration with the "Make Me Like You" singer on her first foray into the world of animation and the channel is finally debuting the first of the 26-episode freshman season today.

The show, Kuu Kuu Harajuku, which Stefani co-created and executive produced, will follow the adventures of the all-girl band HJ5 as the members traverse the wacky worlds of music, fashion, and friendship.

"Partnering with Nickelodeon on Kuu Kuu Harajuku is a dream come true," Stefani shared in a statement. "I love that this is an animated series for young girls that celebrates creativity, imagination, and individuality."

We've always been able to count on Stefani to wow us with her distinct and imaginative brand of cool-girl style--her ability to pull off that signature platinum blonde hair and bold red lip combo is unparallelled--and ever since the release of her debut solo album Love. Angel. Music. Baby. back in 2004, we've been totally into the personification of the album's namesake Harajuku-inspired characters. An animated series that brings those characters to life in a whole new way seems like totally a logical step.

So, who is HJ5, you ask? There's G, the band leader who is never without her signature red lipstick; Love, the quirky brainiac whose fashions always boast a vintage twist; Angel, the bubbly, optimistic one who's always overloaded on accessories; Music, the cute but oh-so-sassy member who loves an all-back everything aesthetic; and finally, Baby, the sweet and loveable one, who loves the clothing equivalent of a fluffy puppy.
