Alaska Airlines has unveiled its next slate of destinations worldwide that can be booked at a significant discount with frequent flier miles.

“Inspiration awaits,” the airline shared about the promotion on its website. “From the ancient historical sites of Athens and Rome to the captivating architecture of Delhi and Taipei—use your miles to ignite your imagination in these breathtaking, culture-filled destinations.”

The airline’s Global Getaways program, which launched earlier this year, offers up to 50 percent off award flights in economy or premium economy to select international destinations. With the latest promotion, passengers must book these discounted one-way flights originating from the U.S. by Wednesday, July 31, for travel between Oct. 1, 2024, and Jan. 31, 2025:

  • Guadalajara: Starting at 15,000 miles

  • Athens: Starting at 25,000 miles

  • Muscat: Starting at 25,000 miles

  • Taipei: Starting at 25,000 miles

  • Rome: Starting at 27,500 miles

  • Delhi: Starting at 30,000 miles

It’s worth noting that award tickets are always subject to government taxes and fees at checkout, which will start at $5.60 per person but can vary depending on the exact destination. Travelers can find eligible itineraries, which are already discounted on Alaska’s website, by searching flights with the “Use Miles” function.

Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan is regarded as one of the best frequent flier programs in the world. The airline is also part of the Oneworld alliance and has a wide range of international partners to earn and redeem miles, such as Japan Airlines and Qantas.

What’s more, Alaska offers the unique ability to add a free stopover on international itineraries for up to 14 days. For instance, it’s possible to book a flight from New York (JFK) to Barcelona (BCN), with a stopover for several days, then another flight from Barcelona (BCN) to Athens (ATH) — all for the same number of miles.
