Sarah Geronimo explains reason for "The Voice" return

The singer says she wants to help teenage talents as well as help herself become more outspoken

28 Mar - Sarah Geronimo previously stated that the reason why she declined to continue her role as coach on "The Voice Kids" was because it felt like a role-play, which is why the singer confused many when she was announced as the fourth coach in the upcoming "The Voice Teens".

However, as reported on Rappler, the pop princess has her own reason for doing so, stating that she hopes to learn more through coaching teenage talents for once.

"I have mixed emotions. I am happy I am finally back. I am doing this for the aspiring singers, the teenagers who are really talented," she said.

She also hopes that being on the show can help her to be more articulate.

"It's challenging for me because I am not used to marketing myself. I am not that good at speaking. So this is like a challenge for me to practice communicating and be outspoken," she said.

In addition, Geronimo also stated that she couldn't possibly pass up the opportunity to work with her fellow coaches; Lea Salonga, Bamboo, and Sharon Cuneta - the latter who replaced her in the last season of "The Voice Kids".

"It's not every day or every opportunity to work with icons of the music industry. So, it's like a treat for me," she added.
