Samuer Sam sparks romance rumour with Gillian Chung again
20 Aug - While they have never admitted to having a relationship, mainland social media influencer Samuer Sam has sparked dating rumours with Hong Kong singer Gillian Chung yet again.
Mainland tabloids recently shared a video showing the two of them walking hand in hand on the street and subsequently returning to the hotel together.
The photos had since sparked a huge discussion online, especially since Samuer, who resembles actor Edison Chen, is an androgynous female influencer.
While some are speculating about Gillian's sexual orientation, others are saying that the woman in the photos is not Gillian but Samuer's good friend Grace Chow. They alleged that the tabloids have edited the video from different clips that included Gillian waiting for a car at the airport and Grace having dinner with Samuer.
Meanwhile, Gillian's manager Mani Fok had since responded to the rumour, saying that the influencer is just like Charlene Choi or Joey Yung to Gillian, meaning to say that they are just friends.
It is noted that rumours of romance between Gillian and Samuer sparked in October last year when the two were spotted together. Samuer fuelled the rumours when she attended Twins' concert in Hong Kong later in January this year.
