Sammy Leung does not regret his political opinions
27 Aug – Sammy Leung is not at all worried that his career as an actor could be affected by his political opinions.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor who spoke about his tendency to express his thoughts about the current situation in Hong Kong, stated that there has been mixed opinions from the public about his personal political stance.
"Some think I don't express my thoughts enough, and some think that I am not 'yellow' enough for TVB" he said, referring to the colour linked to the supporters of the Hong Kong protests.
Sammy stressed that he does not use his political ideas to promote himself, and that it was just what he feels as a person.
"I think that even if you have a different political view than other people, you should not be too emotional that it affects your friendship and relationships," he added.
However, at the same time, the actor admitted that his work did get affected by his political views, with one of his movie projects having been changed because it was scheduled to be shown in mainland China.
"We just have to look towards the future. No one will know what the future may be," he added.
