Sammi Cheng celebrates 50th birthday with family
23 Aug – Sammi Cheng has recently welcomed the big 5-0 with much joy and celebration.
On 21 August, the Cantopop queen, who celebrated her 50th birthday on 19 August, shared a photo of her during her birthday celebration, with the song "Best is Yet to Come" playing, writing, "Birthday is an excuse to eat heartily for a week, then to obediently meet a new wave of work."
In another post, she shared a photo with the whole family, and write, "Due to the pandemic, in order to be safe, my elderly mother seldom goes out. She went out last night and was as happy as a child. I was so happy last night, thank you, dear siblings!"
Prior to the birthday party, Sammi shared a fan-made video which compiled moments in her career since her debut.
She wrote, "Thanks to the fans for editing this for me. It reminds me that years of hard work have not been in vain. It reminds me that all the years of rough life have not been in vain. Entering the fifth decade, I am more and more grateful. I still believe that with hard work and dedication every day, life will not be in vain. Thank you for always being my motivation."
