Samantha Ko wins first award in 15 years of career
15 Jan - Samantha Ko couldn't help but shed a tear when she was announced Best Supporting Actress at the recently held TVB Anniversary Awards.
The actress, who played the role of Cathy in the hit drama, "The Queen of News", couldn't help but exclaimed, "I finally won an award after 15 years in the industry!" in her speech after accepting the accolade.
Thanking co-star Charmaine Sheh in her speech, she said that she learned a lot working with Charmaine, who also won Best Leading Actress at the same event.
It seems that the victory came at the right time as well, as Samantha had just celebrated her 37th birthday the day before.
The actress, who signed with TVB after placing top 5 in the Miss Hong Kong 2008 pageant, began her career as an actress by making a cameo appearance in the 2010 drama, "Some Day". She went on to play supporting roles throughout the years, with several lead roles here and there.
However, the actress began to slow down her drama works beginning 2021.
