Samantha Ko to play the lead in another TVB drama
15 May – TVB actress Samantha Ko is getting another chance at becoming part of TVB's new generation of leading ladies through the upcoming comedy drama, "Agent C9".
As reported on HK01, it was recently revealed that the actress is set to play the titular role in the aforementioned drama, as a normal housewife who also works as a secret agent.
She will be working alongside co-stars Lai Lok Yi and Kenneth Ma.
The casting decision is not without its protests. Some netizens commented that the actress doesn't have what it takes to be a leading lady just yet, and that the only reason she got the job was because of her good relationship with Wong Jing.
However, it is noted that this is not the first time Samantha has been cast as the lead actress in a TVB drama. The actress previously played the lead in the yet-to-air TVB comedy, "Marriage Partners" alongside Mat Yeung.
