Sam Tseng: Alien Huang should have won!

5 Oct – Although he won Best Host for a Reality or Game Show at the recently held Golden Bell Awards, Sam Tseng admitted that he felt a little bit guilty to be holding the accolade.

As reported on Mingpao, the TV personality, who won the award for his work on "National Star Raiders", stated that while he is happy to be winning again for the fourth time, it felt a little bit embarrassing when it could have been a bigger celebration for fellow contenders - the hosts of "Mr Player" - to win the said award especially following the loss of the show's co-host Alien Huang.

"I saw the little doll next to Kid and Jacky Wu while I was on the stage, and I thought it would be Alien's last chance. I couldn't bear it. It seemed like he has been deprived of winning the prize," he said.

Sam stated that it would have been perfect if the award was given to "Mr Player".

On the other hand, Kid took to social media to express his disappointment over Alien being snubbed his last chance at winning the award.

"I'm sorry we didn't get the trophy back. It really is a pity. This was the last chance," he said.

It is noted that Jacky and Kid Lin attended the 56th edition of the said awards, bringing with them a doll to represent Alien, even reserving a seat for him.

Alien Huang was found dead in his home in Beitou District in September last year, with the autopsy concluding that he died of aortic dissection. He was 36.
