BE@SAFRA: Celebrating 40 years of Total Defence
Most Singaporeans would have been to a SAFRA Clubhouse for a swim or workout, thanks to a brother or father who has completed National Service. Bored at home? Visit a SAFRA Clubhouse for BE@SAFRA (15 – 30 Jun) to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Total Defence.
Learn about Total Defence with your family through a day of fun activities. If you have not been to a SAFRA clubhouse before, you’ll also get to discover what their clubs have to offer.
The best part: the activities are all free. But note that some events (see the SAFRA Members’ Exclusive) require you to have a SAFRA membership, in which case, you’ll have to get one.

Families for Life Scavenger Hunt (All SAFRA Clubs)
Stand to be 1 of more than 100 lucky winners to walk home with S$50 worth of SAFRA Rewards Vouchers and discover what SAFRA clubs have to offer!
To start, visit the Customer Service Counter at any SAFRA club and look out for the BE@SAFRA logo to find the first clue.
Follow the hints to locate the 6 BE@SAFRA logos around the club.
Take note of the alphabet at the top right corner of each clue (6 alphabets in total).
Solve the code word and scan the QR code to submit.
A total of 105 winners (15 winners per club) will be selected to win S$50 SAFRA Rewards Vouchers each.
Inflatable Obstacle Course (SAFRA Choa Chu Kang, SAFRA Jurong, SAFRA Tampines & SAFRA Yishun)
Showcase your speed, agility, and teamwork as you surmount the inflatable obstacles at SAFRA’s Swimming Pools with your friends and family members. This symbolises how we can overcome tribulations and challenges together as a country. Registration is free.
Duty Defender (Foam Dart Challenge) (SAFRA Jurong, SAFRA Mount Faber, SAFRA Tampines & SAFRA Yishun)
Test your defence skills while strengthening your bonds with your teammates in an adrenaline-powered Foam Dart challenge! Registration is free.
Food Security Educational Booths & Workshops (All SAFRA Clubs)
Food security is an important element of Singapore’s Total Defence.
Learn how you can play your part in contributing to Singapore’s food security through workshops and informative displays. Registration is free.
Workshops include Grow Your Own Micro Greens and Composting with Worms.
Carnival Bites (All SAFRA Clubs)
Satisfy your hunger pangs with free carnival bites such as ice cream and popcorn.
Don’t miss out on old-school favourites such as traditional biscuits and kacang puteh that will transport you back to your childhood days!
Game Booths (All SAFRA Clubs)
Let your child learn about the 6 pillars of Total Defence in a fun and memorable way through BE@SAFRA’s tabletop games!
Ambulance Display (All SAFRA Clubs)
Explore emergency medical services through BE@SAFRA’s static ambulance display.
The exhibition offers insights into life-saving procedures and underscores the importance of emergency response efforts.
Red Cross Demonstration Booth (All SAFRA Clubs Except SAFRA Jurong)
Improve your emergency preparedness by picking up basic first aid skills and knowledge through the on-site demonstration by the Red Cross.
Total Defence Infographic Board (All SAFRA Clubs)
Learn more about the 6 pillars of Total Defence and how everyone can play their part in building a strong, secure, and cohesive nation.
Contest Mania [SAFRA Members’ Exclusive] (SAFRA Mobile App)
