Ryon Lee's new horror movie heads to New York and Bucheon this month


"Walk with Me" will be making its international premieres at two film festivals.

14 Jun – Ryon Lee's upcoming feature film, "Walk with Me", has yet to open in local cinemas but it is already making its round on the international film festival circuit.

The horror movie, starring Hong Kong actress Michelle Wai as the lead, will be making its World Premiere at the 23rd Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN).

It will also be making its North American Premiere at the 18th New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF).

As listed on ScreenAnarchy, "Walk with Me" is the only movie representing Malaysia at this year's NYAFF.

Meanwhile, BIFAN will be screening the movie under its World Fantastic Red program, which showcases movies with bloody action, chilling horror and exciting thrillers.

The 2019 BIFAN is happening from 27 June to 7 July, and the 2019 NYAFF will take place from 2 June to 14 July.

"Walk with Me" follows a woman who is often bullied by her manager at work and her father at home. With no one else to talk to, she turns to a strange doll for help. When her bullies end up killed in strange ways, she fears that the doll might have something to do with it.
