Ryan Reynolds on Why He Hopes His Fourth Child with Blake Lively Is Another Girl
Ryan Reynolds is a girl dad through and through.
The Green Lantern actor spoke on the TODAY Show this morning with Spirited co-stars Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer to promote their new Christmas movie.
During the talk, TODAY's Hoda Kotb asked Reynolds about his growing family and if he knows what will be the sex of his and wife Blake Lively's fourth child.
"We don't know the sex of the baby and we never find out 'til [they're born]," he said. "I know girls, so I'm kind of hoping that, but I'm ready for whatever happens."
He added that he grew up as the youngest of four sons, and joked that he can say from experience that girls are better. "We were just arsonists and firemen," he said of himself and his brothers.
"Now you're the ultimate girl dad," TODAY's Savannah Guthrie said. "Yes!" Reynolds replied.

Reynolds and Lively, who married in 2012, already share three daughters: James, 7, Inez, 6, and Betty, 3.
The Gossip Girl star revealed her fourth pregnancy this September, when she attended
the 10th annual Forbes Power Women's Summit, held at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City, and showed off her baby bump in a glittering gold minidress.
Lively also confirmed the news on her Instagram days later, sharing photos of herself pregnant with her husband, family and friends—including famous best friend Taylor Swift.
"Here are photos of me pregnant in real life so the 11 guys waiting outside my home for a 🦄 sighting will leave me alone. You freak me and my kids out," she wrote in the caption. "Thanks to everyone else for all the love and respect and for continuing to unfollow accounts and publications who share photos of children. You have all the power against them. And thank you to the media who have a 'No Kids Policy'. You all make all the difference 🙏♥️. Much love! Xxb."
