‘Rules Don’t Apply’ Trailer: Lily Collins Defies Tradition With Alden Ehrenreich (Video)

Lily Collins and Alden Ehrenreich throw their religious scruples to the wind in the new trailer for Warren Beatty‘s “Rules Don’t Apply.”

The film takes place in 1950s Los Angeles. Aspiring actress Marla Mabrey (Collins) arrives to begin working for Howard Hughes (Beatty) and meets her new driver, Frank (played by the newly cast Han Solo, Ehrenreich).

The two are immediately attracted to each other, but cannot act on it for professional and religious reasons. Before long, Collins’ character and Hughes begin to get closer, much to Frank’s horror.

The film also stars Alec Baldwin, Annette Bening, Matthew Broderick, Ed Harris, Megan Hilty, Oliver Platt and Martin Sheen.

Beatty produced and directed the film — his first directing project since 1998’s “Bulworth.” He also wrote the screenplay, based on a story by himself and Bo Goldman.

“Rules Don’t Apply” will debut on Nov. 23.
