Ruffa Gutierrez is going back to school

15 May – Ruffa Gutierrez recently announced that she is going back to school.

The 46 year-old shared the news on social media earlier this week, saying that she is currently enrolled in The Philippine Women's University in pursuit of a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Communication Arts under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).

"After 34 years of working in the entertainment industry, I have chosen to further my education. Not only do I want to fulfil a long-held dream and take control of the next chapter of my life, I want to set a good example for my children," she wrote.

Gutierrez also expressed hope that her fans will be supportive of her new endeavour.

Friends including Charlene Gonzalez, Sunshine Cruz, Aiko Melendez, Isabelle Daza, and Sarah Lahbati also took to the comments to express their support for Gutierrez, with the former writing, ""You continuously make us proud [Ruffa]. Go and reach for your dreams... We are all behind you & will be cheering for you the whole way!! Bravo."
