Ruffa Gutierrez gets her bachelor's degree at 48
24 Aug – Ruffa Gutierrez is now a proud owner of a bachelor's degree in Communications Art.
On 23 August, the actress shared the good news online with a photo of her in her graduation robe, writing, "I humbly want to share that I have graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communication Arts from the Philippine Women's University under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP). I am now gearing up for PWU's 99th Commencement Exercises at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) next week."
"I would not have been able to successfully embark on my educational journey without the continuous guidance of PWU's ETEEAP team of professionals and the immeasurable support of my loved ones."
She also added that she is now taking up Master of Arts major in Communication Arts.
"Because of my enduring commitment to continuously seeking knowledge and equipping myself with new skills that will help me prosper and fulfil my dreams in the ever-changing global scene, I also proudly share with you that I am officially an MA-ComArts student at PWU. The journey continues - unstoppable!" she wrote.
It was back in 2021 that Ruffa revealed that she has decided to return to university after 34 years.
"After 34 years of working in the entertainment industry, I have chosen to further my education," she said back in May last year. "Not only do I want to fulfil a long-held dream and take control of the next chapter of my life, I want to set a good example for my children."
