Rozita Che Wan spends her whole night selling preloved items amid debt controversy
12 Dec - All eyes were on Rozita Che Wan on the night of 10 December, after the actress decided to spend her whole night selling preloved items on TikTok amid the controversy surrounding her debt to Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA).
The "Rombongan Makciks ke Dataran Merdeka" star began her TikTok live session at 9pm and continued on until late at night, with viewers reaching up to more than 20,000 at one point.
The 51-year-old, however, expertly ignored some of the comments from those who went on her live just to blast her for the whole controversy.
Rozita, known to her fans as Che Ta, also revealed to fans that her appearance on TikTok live was not the first, as she has been going live online to sell her many products various times in the past.
On 10 December, the actress made headlines after it was revealed that her residence was raided by MARA officers, accompanied by legal and court representatives, after she allegedly failed to pay her debt of nearly RM 1 million.
Rozita made the loan in 2017 and reportedly has not paid her debt for the past seven years.
Her rep, on the other hand, stated that they will release a statement regarding the issue in the near future.
