Roy Wang plans to further his studies in music
7 Feb – Chinese singer Roy Wang recently revealed that he does have plans to continue his studies, preferably at the Berklee College of Music.
As reported on Sina, the 18-year-old member of TFBoys recently shared the news with fans during a music programme that was aired on 28 January, saying that it was a difficult decision for him to make since he knows that leaving showbiz temporarily could affect his future.
However, Roy finally decided to take the leap after realising that he still has a lot of time to reintroduce himself as a musician.
"I am only 18 anyway. I will be in my early 20s when I come back. It's a good age for me to do something that I love," he said.
Rumours of Roy taking a hiatus to further his studies sparked last year when he was spotted at the Berklee College of Music's affiliated institution in Beijing.
Among celebrities who studied at Berklee include Taiwanese musician Ouyang Nana and Wang Leehom.
