Rosetta Getty 2025 Resort Is a Personal Affair

Rosetta Getty often collaborates with other artists for her collections, but resort 2025 sees her taking stock of her 10 years in business and looking back at her own work. “Reflecting on my own work for the resort collection has been deeply personal and rewarding,” Getty said via email. “In past seasons, collaborating with artists brought different ideas, but looking to my past allowed me to rediscover the essence of my brand.”

The process involved revisiting past collections and themes, “further refining and evolving. It felt like a return, creating a collection that expresses my purest vision and identity as a designer,” she said. Distilled to its purest form, the collection shines a light on the wardrobing essentials she does so well: well-cut loose tailoring, perfect for day to night; soft layering pieces such as tanks, shirts and interesting knits, and outerwear that packs a punch.

“Our customers certainly have their favorite pieces,” Getty said, adding that her fitted peak-lapel jacket in interlock and plongé, “now with new pebble metal buttons, is a favorite.” The twist front tank, available in silk satin and festive fluid lame, “is versatile and popular.” The twist front long sleeve gown “is a bestseller, now with elegant long sleeves.” For pants, the cropped skinny trouser in various fabrics “is beloved.” Lastly, she said, “the twist bra top in sequins and poplin are perfect for a holiday.”

Wrapping it all together, Getty chose model Colin Jones to bring the pieces to life, shooting the rising star in motion. Jones strikes poses around the New York City neighborhood where Getty’s showroom is located, proving that, at 10 years in, her clothes are still meant for a life well lived.
