Rosamund Kwan: Life hasn't always been easy for me!
23 Feb - Being the daughter of well-known actors Kwan Shan and Cheung Bing Sai, Rosamund Kwan admitted that there was a misunderstanding among many people that she was born with a silver spoon, Mingpao reported.
The actress, who appeared on the Chinese talk show, "A Date with Luyu" recently, shared that while people have an idea of her being a rich second generation, in reality, her parents' divorce made her life not much easier than any other person.
"After I graduated high school, I had to join showbiz, not just for fun, but to help with the financial burden," she said.
Rosamund stated that no one knows her hardship and what she had to go through, as they speculate about her family's wealth and accuse her of having a princess syndrome.
"In reality, I am not afraid of suffering. Who doesn't want to make money? Who doesn't want to eat? Why is it when my boyfriend has a lot of money, it means that I was in it for money? Why not say he was in it for my fame?" she asked.
As for past rumours of her being the third person in someone's marriage, Rosamund stated that she wasn't the one who started it.
However, the actress admitted that she regretted her decision, saying, "People got hurt because of it."
