Ron Ng elated with online drama's success

24 Apr – Hong Kong actor Ron Ng is elated that his web drama, "Flying Tiger" has been doing well since it first streamed online, with the latest result showing that it has exceeded 900 million hits.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who appeared at an event alongside Tavia Yeung recently, shared that he has been following the drama up to the 12th episode and is happy to see the positive reaction it has been getting.

"Earlier I saw that it had 700 million clicks. But yesterday, the hits suddenly rose up to 900 million. I am really satisfied," he said.

When asked if he would get a bonus for a job well done, Ron laughed and replied, "No. But I will make sure to fight for it next time."

As to whether there will be a sequel to the online series (which is not related to the TVB franchise), Ron said that the company did mention it.

"It would depend on the script and my schedule. Right now, I have a movie to make," he said.

When asked if he is playing a police officer again in his new movie, Ron stated that the new project will be about romance.

"Flying Tigers" is a collaborative project between Shaw Brothers and Chinese streaming giant Youku. The drama co-stars Michael Miu, Bosco Wong, Eddie Cheung, and Hugo Ng.
