Roger Vivier Launches New Viv’ on the Run Sneakers Inspired by ’90s Icons

Roger Vivier is adding a new sneaker to its assortment. Dubbed Viv’ on the Run, the shoe takes inspiration from the late 1990s and early 2000s as well as figures from that era, including Princess Diana, John F. Kennedy Jr. and Julia Roberts in “Runaway Bride.”

In the video, the model is seen leaving her Parisian apartment carrying a mysterious box. After sitting in Paris traffic, she opens the box and swaps out her Roger Vivier high heels for the Viv’ on the Run sneakers and is seen walking the city.

The design of the new silhouette takes inspiration from technical footwear and features an EVA lugged sole, smooth Nappa leather and fisher net fabric in the midsole. It also includes Roger Vivier’s iconic buckle — available with or without crystals — that can be attached to the laces or removed for a custom look.

According to the brand, the sneaker evolves from its iconic Choc heel that was first introduced in 1959. Known for its inward-arching, concave shape that softens the sharpness of the stiletto, the Choc heel was reimagined for this sneaker.
