Roger Kwok thanks Kelly Cheung for being his English teacher

11 Jul – TVB actor Roger Kwok recently attributed his convincing portrayal as a doctor in "Big White Duel" to his co-star Kelly Cheung.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who plays the role of the stern chief executive and Head of Neurosurgery YT Leung in the said drama, admitted that it would have been a greater challenge trying to pronounce all the medical terms in English if not for the said actress.

"I became more confident because of her. She is like an assistant to me. I would often refer to her whenever I needed to see if my pronunciation was accurate," he said.

Roger stated that since Kelly has been living in Chicago since she was ten and graduated from a school in the United States, no one can say no when she gave him an okay.

"At the same time, I would also help her with her Cantonese. We really helped and encouraged each other," he said.

Roger also revealed that he would like to play historical figures in future projects.

"I have never been offered to play such a role throughout my acting career. I hope such an opportunity will come in the future," he added.
