Robynn Yip announces pregnancy
9 Jul – Robynn Yip of the duo Robynn & Kendy recently announced that she is pregnant with her first child.
The singer-songwriter shared the good news with a photo of her showing off her baby bump, telling her fans that she did not expect to be pregnant so soon into her marriage.
"At the beginning, I was worried that I would not be able to cope although I have always loved children and hoped to be a mother one day. But perhaps modern women have to learn how to balance everything and experience all kinds of unexpected variables and challenges in order to become better. Little baby, I really look forward to meeting you! Don't forget to kick me suddenly whenever mummy sings," she wrote.
She also expressed her gratitude to everybody who has given her lots of love and care throughout the first few months of her pregnancy, including her music producer and music video director.
"And what moved me the most... must be [my husband] by my side. From the time when I was at the hardest, the most painful headache, the worst vomiting, the most anxious, and the most worried about the pandemic until now, my husband has been supporting me by my side and have never left. I don't have to doubt that you will be a great father. Thank you. Thank you also for this weekend, for taking me to a hotel for a romantic tenth anniversary," she added.
Lastly, Robynn apologised for keeping her pregnancy a secret from her fans for the past few months.
The singer married boyfriend Jonathan in Australia last year.
