Robbie Williams defends upsetting Gary Barlow in Better Man film: ‘I want to be authentic’

Robbie Williams has defended upsetting former Take That bandmate Gary Barlow in his new Better Man film, as the singer admitted: “I want to be authentic”.

The film, set to be released in the UK on Boxing Day, is a semi-biographical film about the British pop singer.

It features his rise to fame in the nineties boyband and his notorious clashes with Barlow.

Discussing the film when he appeared on BBC Radio 2 on Tuesday (17 December), the Angels singer admitted: “It wasn’t complimentary to Gaz and that must be triggering for Gaz and I feel for Gaz for that.

“It was also incredibly important for me to tell my story.”
