Following the singer’s luxury clothing launch on Wednesday, a photograph of model Aweng Chuol went viral on Twitter.
In the image, a shirt-clad Chuol is pictured wearing a pair of glitzy earrings with visible scars on her left cheek.
One Twitter user shared a snap of the campaign image, alongside the caption: “I love that the images used on Fenty are not retouched, and that the models [sic] skin is not perfect by societal standards.”
The tweet soon amassed over 9,000 likes with several social media users also leaving positive comments.
“As a girl with scars, this really touches my heart,” one wrote. “I’ve never had any reason to feel less terrible about my scars until seeing this.”
Another added, “I’m in tears, I’m so happy with this.”
This isn’t the first time Rihanna has championed diversity.
The 31-year-old launched a 40-shade make-up line back in September 2017 to encourage the beauty sphere to become more inclusive.
Adding yet another string to her bow, she later introduced a size-inclusive lingerie collection with sizes ranging from XS to 3XL.
Most recently, the singer-turned-designer recruited 67-year-old model JoAni Johnson as one of the faces of her new luxury clothing line.
Yet another positive strive for diversity in the fashion world.
