Richie Ren: No need to greet me at the airport!

29 Apr – Taiwanese actor Richie Jen recently reminded fans to not be hasty when it comes to welcoming their favourite artistes to their area, following reports of the recent chaos at the Shanghai airport.

As reported on Epoch Times, last weekend, a crowd of fans caused disarray and damages when they accidentally smashed a glass barrier at the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport trying to catch a glimpse of their favourite singer Deng Chaoyuan, who was scheduled to arrive in the city on the same day.

Several sources at the airport claimed that Deng was not the only star who arrived in Shanghai that day, as dozen other celebrities were also scheduled to arrive on the same day, causing the flood of fans to gather all at the same time.

After finding out about the recent incident, Richie, who arrived in Luoyang the same day for his show, posted a message to his fans, telling them to be rational when it comes to welcoming their idols.

He also reminded them three important things - "1. Do not send me flowers again. Flowers should remain [in the pots]. 2. Don't spend money on gifts. You should save your money for your own use. 3. Don't go to the airport to welcome me or bid me goodbye. Just come to my show to see me. 4. I love you!"
